So I did the review for the first issue.
Which you loyal Geeks and Geekettes undoubtedly have already read.

Right?

Anyway. The mini-series is now over and I have to say this is going down as one of my favorite stories of all time. This is just brilliant. The main character, Francis, is an ex-superhero who's powers only manifest when he's on something. Drinking. Smoking. Drugs. The more he does the stronger he is. He's like Popeye only with whiskey instead of spinach. After a huge knock-down drag-out fight that left scores dead that he can barely even remember happening, he decides to quit. He needs to get sober. To save himself and his relationship. But it seems it's almost too little too late. His girlfriend's already seeing someone else, he's been kicked off his super team, no one takes him seriously, and he has no idea who he is if he's not a superhero. This story is his journey to finding who he is as he tries to make amends for his wrongdoings - and failing at every turn.

This last issue he faces his father, a super-villain whom he inherited his powers from. His father targets his ex, and  Francis has to make some tough choices that could change his future forever.

A brilliant, original story that's character instantly come to life - jump off the page and punch you in the face. I'll be reading this one many times over, if you see it in Trade soon, and I'm sure you will, definitely pick this up.

I give the Buzzkill series a sold 5 out of 5 Super Hero Hangovers
